[sims] ID Card software for use with SIMS.net

We have a little Magicard Tempo printer here which we use to make our student ID cards. We use the data from SIMS .net to do it.

 

Rather than keep it all to myself, I've tidied up my program, included the SIMS .net reports needed and a quick readme.

 

We're using it here to print this year's cards, so it works well for us. If there's anyone else who wants to use it but finds any weird bugs or differences for their system, feel free to post a message or PM me.

Also, I'd be happy to extend it to work with other MIS's if users of them can provide me with some form of report with the following fields:

 

Surname & Forename, Reg Group, Photo.

I believe Paul supports a school that has a Magicard Enduro ID card printer. He's been told that there is a SIMS .NET template they can use rather then expensive badge maker software. Assuming they don't have a magstrip or something, I'd assume it's just a question of creating a standard SIMS report that outputs to Word Document with the correct "paper". Sound possible @localzuk - master of the ID printers? Are you away of a SIMS report that does this already?

I have some ID badge SIMS reports that output to RTF files. But I need to edit them to remove school logo etc.. before I can publish them.

Thank you so much for your help with ID Card Printing,, is there anyway you can add another column to the template. I need to also add "Exam Number" from SIMS.

 

Also is there anyway you can change the photo layout? e.g. move the photo to the bottom right on the card?
