[school base] SchoolBase Users - Dotnet4 error - Error on AssessmentUpdater

Hello Everyone,

 

Im wondering if anyone has done this and come across this error; im looking try and get this to work:

 

A computer on a test enviroment running the latest schoolbase version, and DotNET4 with CrystalReports for Dotnet4

 

Whenever i attempt to run the AssessmentUpdater GO Button, i get the following STOP Error:

Has anyone come across this error before? if so, how did you solve it?

No experience on SchoolBase, but maybe try reinstalling .Net 4. The full, extended version...

thank you for your reply.

 

Uninstalling this has its warnings. However, as its a test machine it did not matter too much and i can always re-set to the 'prior' install.

 

re-installing dotnet4 didnt work.

any newbies out there and for those who got here looking for a solution, this was resolved with the help of furlong tech support.

They recommended that i download a piece of software called .NET Version Detector from asoft.be

from there, the guy was able to determine that i was missing dot net 3.5 with SP1. (microsoft download id=25150) It would seem that you need to have previoius dotnet versions, as well as dotnet4.

 

It is always worth checking that your computer has dot net fully patched and installed, and if necessary, with previous versions of it, as this was certainly the case for us in this particular situation.

 

when i first posted this question i had an older version of sb and since trying to solve the issue again with furlong, i have the latest (as of 29sep) version. with this one, i didnt seem to have as many problems as with the slightly older one.
