[ms office - 2010] Powerpoint slide layout

Looking for a bit of help with this one.

 

We have upgraded to 2010 from the older version. Now the nursery and reception staff use powerpoint to do learning journeys.

 

So bacially a slide with 4 place holdes where they can insert pictures and another slide with 2 place holders on the left for pictures and a tex box on the full length of the right hand side.

 

on the old version when you went to slide new > design these designs were in the list. on the new version they are not. I can make them in the slide master but I cant get them to display in the default drop down menu.

 

Is there a way of doing this?
