Hi

In Course Manager I couldn't find a GCSE Drama course so I went to make one. I put in the relevent details, assigned the class then SIMS told me that particular combination of subject (drama) and level (GCSE Full Course) already existed. SIMS has been doing this to me a lot, but normally I just click 'ok' and get on with it. But this time, after pressing ok, the course doesn't appear in any list! Which is annoying because I can't assign any marksheets for Drama. I also can't find the music class I made in the same way...

Can anyone help? Please?

Thanks,

What possibly happened was that adding the students made the course active. If you'd searched in course manager with the inactive filter it would have come through. At least that used to happen to me a lot, and a lot of manual courses which don't update memberships automatically, used to periodically become inactive.

since the 7.146 upgrade the inactive/active filter no longer exists.

to get similar results remove the search dates in the course browse.

locate the "missing" inactive course, tick the auto update links boxes.

send timetable from t6 to sims.

run update course memberships in course manager.

should to the trick.

@iansimpson888 - that's news to me, i knew there was something 'new' about course manager, but i didn't realise that. I still have the filter and have 38 inactive courses, compared to 76 active. I can filter and search on them separately. Where are you putting in the search dates? Are you thinking of when assigning to a marksheet template..?

UK version reports "Learning Aim Outcomes" (AKA exam results to you and me) in Course Manager and linked it to various bits and pieces in Exams Organiser. It's related to the school census and reporting of the results back to the government, not sure if they change it for international users?

It's a pretty major change and everyone is re-learning Course Manager here! Luckily this is my first year doing the census making it easier, no bad habits, but still a complicated system.
