burgemaster Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 (edited) We have a self hosted Ubuntu server with a Wordpress front end. For some reason any files that are were uploaded to two folders have problems downloading? When the user tries to download any files from the "09" folder it gives the save/open box but as soon as "open" is clicked it hangs saying "Downloading: www.xxxxxxx". If you press escape the download stops and the file loads successfully? We have checked permissions on all files folders and parent folders and matched them to a working file/folder? Can anyone please suggest what could be causing this hanging? Thanks in advance. Marci Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 I'm afraid BOTH folders do exactly the same thing for me... both hang until you manually cancel the "downloading"
burgemaster Posted September 24, 2012 Author Posted September 24, 2012 Thanks Marci, Well that's bad news. It maybe that you are accessing both from web while as we are accessing locally, would you mind letting them both download (they do eventually) and see if the bad folder is dramatically longer than the working one? Thanks again
