newdriftking-2008 Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 Hi Guys, I've just taken over ICT support in a school who have a Konica Minolta bizhub C451 photocopier, it's networked and teachers have a code they use to copy. Some staff are also able to send prints over the network to it and it prints. I have installed the driver (PCL6 ) on a teacher laptop and sent a test print, it gets as far as the copier but does not print out. When you look in job details it says not authorised to group, but I can't see any different details to a teacher who can print... Am I missing something?
twin--turbo Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 the copier will have user permissions, you will need to log onto the copier and determine where they are and make sure they have print allowance. That's how it was on our old Xerox WorkCentre Machines and I doubt the Minolta is much different. Rob
beany1 Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 does it ask you for the code when you print? If you have the account tracking turned on the photocopier you need to enable it in the printer preferences on the computer which will ask you for the code when you press print. If you go to properties on the printer then settings then "popup auhentication dialog when printing" it will popup asking for the pass when you print. Hope this helps.
SYNACK Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Have a chat to Minolta support, there is usually an option to allow printing without a code. Alternatively get papercut mf and let that handle everything through one database.
