acaunter Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Has anyone had any problems with playing ebooks on Oxford Owl website. We have a laptop that plays the books when accessed from home but when in school there is no sound. Really random cant think why as only difference is the internet access. Any thoughts?
flewitt Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 I've just been called out for the same issue. None of our computers will play the sound for the books on this website. Did you resolve this in the end? We use South West Grid For Learning (SWGFL) for our filtering. That often causes issues
SimonWindisch Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 Just been in contact with SEGfL about this, they will look into it, ref: 3987167 if anyone else wants to get in touch with them about it. This is similar to http://www.edugeek.net/forums/internet-related-filtering-firewall/78313-custom-media-player-poetryarchive-org-not-working.html where poetryarchive.org used port 1935 for their audio. Asking SEGfL/SWGfL to unblock the port fixed the problem. Simon
