[ms office - 2010] 32 or 64 bit

Need to put office on a new 64bit laptop (rest of our system is 32bit) and thought I would download (we have the ELS license) the 64bit office but in the blurb on the download its says:

"Microsoft strongly recommends the use of 32-bit (x86) versions of Office 2010, Project 2010, and Visio 2010 applications as the default option for all platforms.",

Now do I just install our usual 32bit version of 2010 on 64 bit then, thought the idea was to go all 64bit?

Too many problems with 64bit Office, even under Microsoft's admission (as you've said yourself in their recommendation blurb)

I think the only reasons for 64bit stuff with office when I looked at it originally, were if you were working on massive filesizes with the suite regularly, i.e. over a couple of gb file sizes, otherwise stick with 32bit

if you use any sort of add ons they may not work in the x64 bit version, having said that as i don't use any i used to sue the x64 bit version and it worked fine for me. im now using the x64 bit version of office 2013 preview and thats running just fine too, though i have only deployed the regular 32 bit varieties to normal users, because of the warnings and caveats mentioned above

32bit, the chances of you needing 64bit are smaller against the chances of having issues, and it MS advise against it in most circumstances...
