I'm trying to sort out a problem with a Vista machine and not getting very far. When clicling on a link in Outlook it gives a message "The operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer". I've tried the solutions on the MS site which haven't helped. System Restore only goes back a couple of weeks. Any ideas please?

I would imagen that you have resolved this by now but we saw this on a windows XP PC a week ago.

The Teacher had installed Google Crome, relised that they installed Cromre, unnstalled it and it caused this.

After a while of fiddling, ended up reinstalling crome and just hiding the shortcuts.

I did try getting IE to be the default browser again but it didnt help as soon as I uninstalled crome each time it broke.

Bahh, my colleague is having the same problem, remembered seeing it here, but your link is 404 Not Found! Any chance of re-posting?

YAY, thanks for that, it worked a charm. For some reason this problem was on a brand new build, Chrome (or any other browser) hasn't been installed!
