I'm currently transferring all of my brother-in-laws files from an old Windows box to a shiny new Mac. All of the files and music etc. have been copied over successfully, however I have now hit a snag. Her iTunes password - which I have just used successfully to de-authorise the Windows iTunes - is not being recognised. I have tried several times but it is being reported as being wrong. To double check I tried to log into the Hotmail account that it is linked to (it uses the same PW) on my desktop and can't access this either. However I can from their old PC.

Am I missing something?

Check the keyboard language settings on the pc, this can cause the computer to use certain characters in a different manor from the mac/your pc

So on american keyboards where 2 = " for the UK English where as US English keyboard settings have 2=@
