Scottyboy99 Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 (edited) Morning, I have bound our Mac Server to AD and I'm trying to manage the preferences for users using Workgroup Manager.. But I keep getting this error (see pic) - it occurs when trying to manage users OR groups Has anyone come across this error before? Cheers Scott Edited August 23, 2012 by Scottyboy99
Rozzer Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 You cannot add preferences to an AD group. You need to create a Open directory group and add the AD group to that OD group. Then you can edit the preferences for the OD group. Hope that makes sense. Ross

Rozzer Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 You need to change to LDAPV3 on the top left instead of Active Directory and then unlock the pad lock. I have a video on my blog for 10.6 which is close to 10.7 with workgroup manager. HowToMac.co.uk | Bringing the future of Apple into education Ross
Scottyboy99 Posted August 23, 2012 Author Posted August 23, 2012 Worked it out, Cheers for that Do you know how to make the Documents folder redirect to their Home Directory? or is that impossible?
