Arthur Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 Download links are on the "Flash Player Distribution" section of Adobe's website (despite it still listing v11.3.300.270 as the latest version available). If I can find the public EXE links, I'll post those later.
andypitts Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 I only rolled out 11.3 a few days ago! It'll have to do for now...
mattianuk Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 what is the quickest way to roll out flash these days?
andypitts Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 (edited) I deploy the MSI (available from Adobe eventually) via Group Policy. I also use InstEd to create a transform to disable the update features. Edited August 21, 2012 by andypitts
SimpleSi Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 @andypitts I can only see 11.3 stuff there Simon
andypitts Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 There was a subtle "eventually" is my previous post. Looks like they haven't got round to adding it yet - @Arthur was pretty quick with the announcement!
Arthur Posted August 21, 2012 Author Posted August 21, 2012 (edited) Adobe are always a slow at updating their website. As mentioned in the OP, if you download the EXEs or MSIs you will find they are v11.4.402.265 despite the website saying otherwise. @andypitts. You may want to edit post #4. The mods don't like people posting that link. Edited August 21, 2012 by Arthur 2
andypitts Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 Thanks @Arthur for the heads up, I didn't realise that.
robk Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 Thanks @Arthur saved us a job... Adobe do not like the non public links shared, its against the EULA that you clicked to agree when they sent the links to you. Seems daft to not just publish the usable files, but thats adobe for you.
Arthur Posted August 22, 2012 Author Posted August 22, 2012 It'll have to do for now... You may not want to give this one a miss... Five of the six flaws are categorised as critical because they might easily lend themselves to planting malware on machines running vulnerable versions of Adobe's software. Researchers said this especially applied to Windows machines where the risk is at its nastiest. (Source)
Arthur Posted August 22, 2012 Author Posted August 22, 2012 Here are the PUBLIC download links. Internet Explorer: http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/support/install_flash_player_ax.exe Firefox etc.: http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/support/install_flash_player.exe Note to mods beginning with 'T': Public means you do not have to sign a distribution agreement to download them. No agreements have been breached.
gshaw Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 More fun, only just pushed out 11.3 as part of the SCCM Task Sequence when imaging... looks like it's mandatory advertisement time...
