Liberum and email

pk set it up and using aspEmail and dosnt send the mail says it has but email never gets here

 

But think it might be to do with the smtp server not being an open acccess and needing username and password

We ditched the aspEmail side of it and put on CDONTS and configured it only to accept connections from the local host.

 

Not ideal but it works.

 

We are using version 0.93 (that's the latest non-beta I think) but still have a problem of being unable to search the knowledge base. I really must get round to asking on the forum.

Could you tell me how you did this? I have CDONTS on the server and registered.

 

In the liberum config settings i have got the Email type set as CDONTS and the SMTP server set as the servers IP.

 

It says it has sent successfully but then ends up in the badmail folder in \interpub\mailroot\badmail

 

Any help would be appreciated.

Ours is set to CDOSYS and points to our Exchange box - seems OK

We do not have an exchange server that is the only problem. Our internet/email is controlled by our LA.

 

It could be that they have blocked port 25. I have tried to push it through 443 as https data but that did not work either.
