Logon script from netlogon folder fails to run on wireless laptops

We have just set up a Server 2008 R2 domain and sent out Windows 7 to all our clients. All works fine except on a group of lenovo laptops that refuse to run the logon script while on the wireless.

Can anyone suggest what might be causing this?

Thanks

i had the same problem with some dell laptops a while back

i did this to cure my problem

on each workstation

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon]

"GpNetworkStartTimeoutPolicyValue"=dword:00000 03c

this fixed it for me

dont know if it will help you but it is worth a try

i included the registry entry in this thread

about the 3rd entry down

The above is also a GPO setting so you can just push it along with a dial-up delay and the always wait for network setting.

It can also be because of wireless, make sure that the drivers are the latest and they are machine wireless policies rather than per-user ones using user credentials otherwise it only connects to the network after you have logged in. You may also need to tweak it to rely on one of the networking services (can't remember the exact one) so that the machine waits for the network to come up fully before you get to logon.
