mwbutler Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Hi All (We are a RM CC3 / XP SP3 network) Yesterday I created an MSI using the Adobe MSI creator software (cannot remember what it's called) and deployed it to a few test machines. Students got the 213:11 error and I found on this site the fix is to create a a writeaccess.ini file with the following content: [C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe] Everyone=0x1301BF [C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe PCD] Everyone=0x1301BF [C:\Program Files\Adobe] Everyone=0x1301BF [C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application data\adobe\SLStore] Everyone=0x1301BF I have ran RMAppGPOUpdateUtility.exe on our FRDC, rebuilt 2 new computers, allocated / installed CS6 and I now get this error for student users: Please uninstall and reinstall the product Error 16 I reset the profiles / health checked 2 test users profiles before doing this just to maker sure the accounts were "clean" too. The software *does* work fine on Admin accounts. Does anyone have any idea how I can fix this problem? (Apologies if you have seen this post on another Techy site!) Cheers

So What I'm going to try now is redit the Writeaccess.ini file with this... [C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe] Tav Students=0x1F01FF TAV Teaching Staff=0x1F01FF TAV Non-Teaching Staff=0x1F01FF [C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe PCD] Tav Students=0x1F01FF TAV Teaching Staff=0x1F01FF TAV Non-Teaching Staff=0x1F01FF [C:\Program Files\Adobe] Tav Students=0x1F01FF TAV Teaching Staff=0x1F01FF TAV Non-Teaching Staff=0x1F01FF [C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application data\adobe\SLStore] Tav Students=0x1F01FF TAV Teaching Staff=0x1F01FF TAV Non-Teaching Staff=0x1F01FF ...and hope it works. Another deallocate / reallocate of CS6 here I come!

(Note we are on XP and CC3) Here's my writeaccess.ini file: [C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe] Everyone=0x1301BF [C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe PCD] Everyone=0x1301BF [C:\Program Files\Adobe] Everyone=0x1301BF [C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\SLStore] Everyone=0x1301BF [C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\SLCache] Everyone=0x1301BF For some reason the SLCache folder here - C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\SLCache refused to take the permissions from the writeaccess.ini file so I created a software package which simply makes a folder in that location with the correct "Everyone" permissions and that fixed the problem.
Springbok Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 We've been unable to deploy CS6 on our CC3 network and since we didn't purchase this from RM there is no support. They have offered an installation package at (you guessed it) a price. Following some complaints from us, they finally gave us this for free. We then tried to install the package but it will just not deploy. We have now had RM dialling in for a week and they are still no closer to resolving this. My concern is that Matt Greaves says they are still experiencing issues deploying on CC4. Has anyone tried a dual boot and installed this on a plain MS Windows machine without the RM layer?

Springbok Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 We've managed to install it onto CC4 finally - took a while, but the issue was compounded by Smoothwall and it's automatic license checker, once resolved it's working a treat.

mwbutler Posted July 23, 2014 Author Posted July 23, 2014 Hi Andy, here are my install notes: ==================== Works for Adobe CS5 and CS6 on RM CC4 Networks RM Communities thread - RM Community ==================== 1) Download and Install Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition (AAMEE) - Creative Suite Enterprise Deployment | Adobe Developer Connection 2) Run AAMEE and go through the 'Welcome' and 'Serialize' tabs, entering the settings as required. 3) On the 'Options' tab select the software that you want installed. Make sure 'Adobe Flash Builder' and 'Adobe Flash Catalyst CS5' are NOT ticked - or the install will fail! Also untick 'All Components' and make sure that no components remain ticked by manually clicking on each software selection and checking. 4) Set up your preferred settings on the 'Configure' tab. 5) On the 'Updates' tab I personally chose to NOT include any updates, this may or may not work so it's up to you what you want to do but again make sure 'Adobe Flash Builder' and 'Adobe Flash Catalyst CS5' updates are NOT included here. 6) Build the package! 7) Browse to the build location that you specified in step 2, for example mine is in; C:\Program Files\ICT - Adobe CS5 Web Premium. There should be 'Build' and 'Exceptions' folders inside. 8) Along with the 'Build' and 'Exceptions' folders, create a new .ini file using notepad and enter the following: [Package] Description=ICT - Adobe CS5 Web Premium Version=1.0.0.0 OS=5.WS,6.WS WIPackage=.\Build\ICT - Adobe CS5 Web Premium.msi ***Please note the 'Description=ICT - Adobe CS5 Web Premium' and 'Adobe CS5 Web Premium.msi' will need to be changed to reflect your specified package and MSI name! 9) Save the .ini as the same name as the description for example mine is 'ICT - Adobe CS5 Web Premium.ini' 10) So to recap you should now have a folder containing the 'Build' and 'Exceptions' folders and your settings .ini file. (You can also create a folder called 'Shortcuts' in here and put all of the shortcuts in to include in the build, or you can do this at a later stage through the RMMC.) 11) In CC4, open the RMMC and go to File > Import > Package and select 'Community Connect 3 Package' then browse to your settings .ini file and make sure 'Show package properties after importing' is ticked. 12) Click OK, enter a new version number and remove the old/original version from the network. 13) To fix the 213:11 license error, on the FRDC, open up Group Policy Management in Admin tools. Find the "All Stations" policy and edit it. Expand Computer Configuration Expand Policies Expand Windows Settings Expand Security Settings In the tree below that, right Click on "File System", and you'll be given a prompt to add a file and folder: “C:\Program Data\Adobe” “%AllUsersProfile%\Adobe” “C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe” Give “everyone”, full control permissions on the folder 14) Allocate and test the Adobe CS5 package!
