I have a new HP2910al, I need to wall mount it but in the guide it says DO NOT wall mount. The vents and fans are on the sides and wouldn't be blocked. The only reason I could think of is because it weighs 6kg and could fall off. But is there any other reason?

May be directional reasons (i.e. shouldn't be used at 90 degrees) other than that, as long as it's properly mounted then shouldn't be an issue. 6kg? Wonder how much my TV on the wall weighs ;)

Could be fluid dynamics related, mounting it like that may cause pockets of hot air that would otherwise be vented propperly. I would not recommentd it, the least objectionable way would probably be sideways so the air movement from the fans pushed the air upwards along with the convection currents generated by the hot air rising.

Probably dust ingress / stuff dropped into it.

Attached to the wall like this: = with ports facing up/down, or like this: [] with fans or outflow at the top?
