Active Direcotry base settings

Hello,

 

Im setting up hap 7.10 on a windows server 2008,

 

i have all green ticks in the general tab, but on the AD tab i cant get it to work. No matter what i do i keep getting "Internal Server Error"

The user account im using it a fully fledged network domain admin account.

 

Could this error be because im using a domain name like AD1.school.leics.sch.uk instead of the normal school.local?

 

any ideas would be great.

it shouldn't make any difference. There are some instances where the AD Browser wont work with specific AD setups (don't know why), in which case you will need to manually enter the information. You don't need to fill the AD OUs section as that is only for the booking system/help desk

Ah, it doesn't like the fact that there's an apostrophe. I'll look into seeing if I can escape it

ok if i manually put them in how do i encrypt the password of the admin account?

You can put the password in via the GUI, it will encrypted it when you click save.

 

Fill in the gui, you just wont get the AD Browser in the GUI
