Given the abundance of "delivery companies are staffed entirely by illegitimate children" threads around these parts, I figured this might give a few people a chuckle or two at a time of year when we're all in dire need of laughter: BBC News - Readers' parcel delivery nightmares

 

More than one story of a delivery driver leaving parcels in the recycling wheelie bin that was out on the street. Why was it on the street? Because it was collection day, of course

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo don't start me on f-ing YODEL!!! 4 days my parcel is late by now! I don't think I'm EVER going to get it! I ordered an item from Argos Online for delivery to my work address (that way there are plenty of people in) on Tuesday 10th. Tuesday came and went. Parcel didn't appear. I phoned Argos, 'Very sorry but the van broke down. It's out for delivery today'. Wednesday came and went. Parcel did not turn up. Thursday is now over and where is my Parcel? God knows. I don't even think f-ing YODEL know where my parcel is now!!! The Ironic thing is that the Yodel depot is around the corner from my work, but I can't even go to collect it myself as I have no 'failed delivery' card as they haven't even bl00dy tried!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAM* Apparently they've now placed a new 'monitored order' for a new parcel for me for delivery tomorrow. I'd ALMOST be willing to bet my HOUSE it doesn't arrive.

Yodel are as bad going the other way as well; waiting for an Xbox to go back to Amazon (thankfully for school, so I'm not sitting around at home waiting) and they didn't turn up on Monday, I emailed them Tuesday, and only got a response Thursday. Let's see if they actually turn up today...

I gave into my rage where Yodel is concerned a long time ago. I would visit their temples and slaughter them all - even the younglings if I thought it would keep Padme safe bring me my parcel.

 

Well, so far no parcel. I now have TWO parcels of the same item sitting in a Yodel depot that I can practically SEE from my desk, yet I am unable to claim it. *headdesk*

UPS does my nut in! Ordered a laptop for myself for delivery next day.... parcel didnt turn up rang UPS

 

"Wheres my parcel?"

"Oh we couldnt find your house"

"The driver never contacted to me to ask for directions"

"His phone was flat and forgot to plug it in. We can arrange for re delivery?"

 

Decided it was just easier for me to drive the 20 miles to pick it up on the friday so arranged for me to go pick it up. So drove over around 3pm on the friday to the depot

 

"I've come to collect my parcel"

*exchanges parcel number, name, details etc*

"I'll go take a look for you"

*returns about 10 minutes later*

"Oh I'm really sorry but because you didnt come at your pre arranged slot of 2:55pm (I ran late due to traffic) Your parcel has been placed in the weekend storage container and locked up so you will have to come get it sometime next week"

*5 minute rant about how absurd this is*

 

"Right can i arrange for delivery next week as im busy?"

"No because you have decided to pick up yourself you've canceled your delivery service with us and is now classed as collection only"

 

-_- so had to drive back the next week to pick the dam thing up which turned out to be the wrong laptop anyway as ups managed to mis match labels on the parcels!

 

thankfully got money refunded for delivery and some money off the laptop because of the huge screw up

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH A Yodel van just delivered another parcel to this office. WhyTF can't they have delivered one of my TWO parcels at the same time? This is driving me NUTS! I need it for tomorrow!!! At this rate I'll be stopping at Argos on the way home and buying one in store (at 3 times the price) then complaining until they refund me for the new item.
