Cleaning Sanyo xe40 projectors

Hi Performed an optical clean on the Sanyo xe40,went okay not as bad as i thought.I now have a striped image on the screen ? what did i do wrong ? anybody got any ideas?? any help apreciated.

Sounds like you might have gotten one of the lenses or the metal grids out of a alignment slightly. I had the same issue last holiday when I was cleaning a few and got distracted while putting it back together.

 

Did you take all the lenses/grids just infront of the bulb housing. If so, check that you got them back in the correct order. With the metal plates with the vertical slits, make sure that the 2 little metal flanges at at the bottom and point towards the bulb.

 

If you can, you can also pop a lid off another XE40 to check the ordering.

Hi Thanks for that,have now checked all you sugested,looks like everything is in place,begining to suspect the vga cable now as i don't have stripes all the time,when the cable is moved i get a pink hue and stripes.Thanks Again.SLiv

One of your 3 ribbon cables are not seated correctly.
