I had an email from them to say it had been shipped with Parcel Force using their 24 hour service. It came with a tracking number so you can trace where it is.

Mine came last week (yes from RS) and I got an email from Parcelforce beforehand with the title 'Your item is being dispatched'

Another day - no email - no pi

 

Even one of my Y5 pupils at one of my schools has got one - and from RS no less!

Yesterday on the Farnell site it stated that general orders would be open from 5th July.

Today they have this ;

 

Registration for the Raspberry Pi has now closed. We are currently ensuring that the large number of customers who registered their interest over the last week have ample opportunity to order their Pi, and will be opening to general Raspberry Pi orders shortly.

Its simple supply and demand - there's just no practical way to satisfy the demand so any announcements that they can/are are just wishful thinking - there's the queue of people who've ordered - theres the queue waiting to be asked and then there is the queue waiting for the queue to die down!

I'd even cleared my desk in the hope that it would have arrived by tomorrow

Just to finish off my bit but hopefully others will still post her to keep up the information flow

Allowed to place order on 29th May - got email saying on its way on Fri 6th July - arrived Sat 7th July.

PS needs signing for and wont fix through letterbox so make sure someone in or stick note out directing to friendly neighbours
