Cannot Edit My Posts

Not sure if this is the correct place .

 

I have lost the 'Edit' button on my posts, I have used three different machines with different browsers but still have NO edit button !.

 

Any idea's please.

 

Edit..... Testing,Testing ... Now it works on here but not on my other live post..odd... edit end

 

Edit 2 ..Is it time related edit button ?.

But that's stupid .... my typo's do not go away..

That means I have to put another post to put the correct info in, It's the only forum I know that is like that.. odd. very odd.

Im not sure if its the correct way to do it but if i need a post edited i "report' the post and ask a mod to edit it for me.

 

While this makes extra work for the mods, and im not entirely sure of the reasoning behind it but im sure @ZeroHour has his reasons.

I guess it's mainly done to help with the integrity of posts.

Its about the integrity of the information being posted. Editing a post after a certain amount of time makes no sense, as everyone will have read it already, mistakes and all. Changing it is like revising history.

First posts have a very limited window as if you delete it, it takes the whole thread with it which has led to huge threads vanishing. This is why the lockdown exists.
