Sketchup 8 Network Fail issue

Hi all,

 

Wondered if anyone could help. Having issues with sketchup 8. Install via an msi and all works well. No issues.

 

Randomly after a while, it just stops working for all users; including admins. This happens in some labs at different times.

 

Running XP.

 

The error we get is:

 

"C:\program files\google\sketchup 8\sketchup.exe"

 

'the application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix the problem"

 

Re running the mix fixes the problem but this is a pain when it knocks out a whole room. It is odd because it is not happening everywhere at the same time (eg when windows updates are installed).

 

Anyone know what would be causing the issue. Nothing is being installed or removed. It just seems to happen?

 

Any help would be much appreciated.
