We've just installed 22 new Discover databases into our hosted system. We've set up the 'Hosted.xml' with only 4 schools fdor the moment and when attempting to transfer data, every site fails for the same reason, (from the log file but formatted a little better):

There was an error transferring the data between the SIMS and Discover databases!

System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException

The INSERT statement conflicted with the FOREIGN KEY constraint "fk_UserDataViewCategoryCategoryId". The conflict occurred in database "discover494", table "dbo.Category", column "CategoryId".

Anyone seen this in a normal or hosted instance?

hosted - looks like all your databases are pointing at the same discover database - called discover.

Just a guess.

In the Hosted.xml file? All the database references are unique and pointing to each individual sims/discover DB, hence the log extract referring to discover494. ;)

Unless there is somewhere else I should be looking?

Yer, yer, we all know you add that 494 to the log :p

Alas, my scheme for pointless posts has been foiled!!!! ;)

Capita have the logs now and are looking at it. Hope it's a quick fix as I'm itching to get this working! :)

Yes we did, forgot to update the post. Needed to run the grant user command against the databases.

The transfers (automated or user initiated) have no impact on performance at all. If anything, it's lightening fast!
