EES Mac licensing

Hey guys,

 

We have EES licensing at our school and are looking to introduce some Macs as we replace teacher's laptops and I have a couple of Qs.

 

- We're licensed for Office Pro, does this also carry over to MS Office for Mac, or does that have to be licensed separately?

- Am I right in believing that if I wanted to bootcamp a Mac, we would have to purchase a 'base' Windows license before we could use our EES Enterprise license?

Mac OSX counts as an upgradable operating system for Windows. This means that you can use your windows upgrade licenses included within your EES agreement. 99.9999% sure the same applies for MS Office for Mac. It's simply an additional version of office that your entitled to within EES.

There is no base license required for Office. We're using Office for Mac 2011 on ours (under our EES agreement).

 

Not too sure on the Bootcamp side of things though... the documentation allows you to use Mac OS as a base license if you wish to run Windows on the Mac, not sure if you're licensed to have them both installed side-by-side (dual booting).

Microsoft allows you to run a Bootcamp version of Windows on a Mac without an extra license to do so other than a standard EES upgrade license.
