Hi Everyone,

I am having some difficulty with Ruckus WiFi and wpad.dat being served from one of our DC's any help greatly appreciated.

I have 1 SSID created for the staff laptops and its setup so that when a users connects they get directed to a page for authentication,

(Ruckus's captive portal setting) The user authenticates against our AD. This works. The user should be redirected to the page they were originally requesting. The problem is that at this stage as some machine gets directed to http://null/

The clients are being provided with proxy info from a wpad.dat file (DNS method) hosted on one of our DC's using IIS.

I have tested this with 3 laptops all configured using DHCP with the same AV/Firewall settings. 1 of the 3 machines works the other 2 do not.

I have used wireshark to check that each host is requesting the wpad file from the correct location which they are and the Ruckus kit has been updated to the latest version being 9.3.

what am I missing ???

Just in case anyone else experiences this, It was solved by updating the laptop to IE 8 from IE7.

That will serve me right for testing with an old laptop!
