opening a link in power point and get "cannot download the information you requested"

hi all,

i have a user and when she tries opening a link in power point she gets a message "cannot download the information you requested"

 

the link itself is fine and if you copy and past it into a browser it opens with no problems, its just when clicking the hyperlink in Power Point (2007)

 

loads of people have this issue on the web but i cant find anyone who has found a solution yet

What's the link (if it's external?) just wondering if it happens to everyone, or just that link?

@davemoomin check the antivirus/firewall.

 

Sometimes powerpoint it gets blocked when you try to use hyperlinks. [it seems to only happen with 2007.]

probably no where near a solution but in ms office thought you had to hold down CTRL and then click the link for it to open ??

its all links and only on her laptop, if she emails me the file it works fine on my PC.

 

also its all links, even Google

 

i will have a look again and the AV and Firewall but im pretty sure i have already killed them both as a test...
