[ubuntu] Nagios - remove windows host completely?

We completely formatted one of our servers for other purposes recently but my nagios box still tries to monitor it and obviously goes mad as it can't find it.

I have removed all reference to it in /usr/local/nagios/etc/objects/windows.cfg and restarted apache but it still keeps looking for it.

Do I need to remove it somewhere else as well?

You need to restart nagios, not apache.
