Add Disk to HP Array

I have a HP G7 server with two spare slots. We have added disks to match the existing disks and they are being picked up in the HP Smart Array Configuration program. Is there an easy way to add the disks to a current RAID config either through software or SmartStart CD? Or do i need crush the RAID and rebuild?

Use the Expland an array functon in HP Smart array Configuation Utility.

I used the notes on this website and although it took a weekend to add 1TB, all went well.

(Server was able to carry on working throughtout)

How can I expand or migrate a RAID set on a HP RAID Controller?

You need to click on the array in the config utility and then select expand and choose the disks you want to add in.
