DVI to Cat5E

Setup: PC nr board, but teacher facing towards wall. Would like teacher to be sat at their desk using the PC. Can extend keyboard and mouse by wireless but can link a monitor up by Cat5e from DVI (VGA plugs into the projector there is no DVI/HDMI input)

 

So a few questions - the run is about 15m.

 

Do the converters have their own power supply or can you run from USB?

Is there any lag using the converters?

What hardware/supplier would you recommend for a converter - am using Win7 Enterprise OS.

Can converters support 1440*900?
