When I look at logs in SIMS for VLE export I see:-

Dsetination URL: https://enterprise.itslearning.com/WCFServiceLibrary/ImsEnterpriseServicesPort.svc

Service Description: VLE Web Service by IMSES Provider

Exception Message: The operation has timed out

Out of interest(?) I went to the destination URL where I’m informed:-

“You have created a service.

To test this service, you will need to create a client and use it to call the service. You can do this using the svcutil.exe tool from the command line with the following syntax:

svcutil.exe https://enterprise.itslearning.com/WCFServiceLibrary/ImsEnterpriseServicesPort.svc?wsdl”

However svcutil.exe does not appear to be installed on our SIMS server

(according to ServiceModel Metadata Utility Tool (Svcutil.exe) it should be in

C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v6.0\Bin)

It is nearly a month now since the process has run successfully (occasionally exception message is “Unable to connect to the remote server”)

Any ideas welcome

Thanks

Ok thanks for the suggestion - have run test, reports service ok, ditto internet connectivity.

Yes have tried both methods, and tried changing users network credentials, all report Internet Connection Ok. Think I will raise call with Capita, but many thanks for your input, I didn't know about Tools > Setups > SIMS Services
