how to stop autologin

My sysprep file is working great. Does everything I need it to do, but it logs in automatically to a local account (HelpDesk), and not to the login screen for the domain. Ive removed the autologin section from the xml and it still does it. When i reboot it logs directly into the account.

 

If i activate net user administrator, and remove the local account maybe that will work?

 

I still want a way to locally log in as an admin.

My script is pretty much identical to that and does not log in locally automatically...

We've got two local accounts on our image, which we enable as you've done.

Have you updated the XML on the WDS server where it says about the unattend.xml?

I have the lab machine that this unattend.xml file is for in audit mode, and i run the command mysysprep /generalize /oobe /shutdown /unattend:unattend.xml

 

then i captrue the image using imagex to my server, and then deploy the image using imagex on the lab machine. It runs through the mysysprep and then auto logs into the help desk account...

I have a script to auto join the domain ROllins.edu when the machine 1st logs in. Im wondering if there is a local setting somewhere that is forcing the machine to login as Helpdesk on the domain?

I have this section in my unattend from MDT but should be the saem format for just WDS:

Change the value in the LOGONCOUNT tags should tell it how many times to login automatically...

you mean setting 0 would not allow any autologin? I have no use for any auto login

Are you using the WAIK? It's much easier to edit this and see the options available to you...

im using WIndows System Image Manger in the WAIK tool kit. The original XML didn't have any autologin.

It's def in the WAIK (Under x86_Microsoft-Windows-Shell-Setup__neutral_31bf3856ad364e35_nonSxS and applied to the oobeSystem Pass)

From the help file, LogonCount is required if AutoLogon is specified, so either don't use the whole AutoLogon section or try setting it to 0..)

you can't set it to 0. I am trying now with 1, and enabled: false.

IIRC Windows will autologin if there is only 1 account on the system.. try adding another local account (eg setup) and see if that stops it
