AD OU Structure

Sorry if this is a common topic, but I'm just wondering what people are using for their AD OU Structure. Also, can you please state what you're using? (OS + Management System (RM CC*, Ranger, etc))

Flat structures may be wrong, but here we have Maths lessons in the science block, English lessons in IT rooms. We have tried to box clever and make everything granular, but it just never suits our uber-dynamic timetabling here lol.

Admittedly we do end up with Science packages linked in all sorts of random places...! I just prefer the nested structure like that for the semantics of it - there is meaning inherent in the OU structure, and the information is easier to see at a glance than security groups are.

 

This may be more useful to me specifically due to the PC naming here - KGGSXXXX as the asset tag, rather than IT2-PC28 etc. One of those jobs I've never gotten round to; I might do it come the Win7 migration, but then it might be better left as is for when computers get shuffled round. Six of one and half a dozen of t'other, perhaps.
