Quick Exchange 2007 Question

I need to run a ISINTEG on one of my storage pools [ we use 3 ] and the one with the problem is around 120 gig - yep going to take a while.....

I know this needs to be un-mounted to do so was thinking of creating another storage pool, moving the users on the one being reported as corrupted to the new one, running the ISINTEG and depending on the result moving them back afterwards.

Question is this - I take it Exchange can still run and the other storage pools run ok after un-mounting just the problem one whilst running ISINTEG ? Just wanted to double check first.....

Hey, yeah you can disconnect individual pools and the others will be fine.

 

Worth also noting that with 2k7 the users mailbox will be unavailable while moving between pools.

Thanks for the heads up on the users not being able to access mail boxes when moving. Looks like I will have to knock up a dedicated dist list to let them know when this is done.

Microsoft say the users mailbox MAY be unavailable - I've never had one stay active in 2k7. YMMV, obv
