WithoutMotive Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 Hi guys, Just been given an HP Mini 5103 with the message that letters W and E weren't working. Hoping for a simple job, I took a look. Turns out that, weirdly, the letters "QWERTY" aren't working and EVERY single other key works. I don't think there's a scenario where "QWERTY" are on their own separate circuit. My assumption was that keys are arranged in rows when it comes to circuits or blocks. Again, though, other keys wouldn't work. Any thoughts?
difinity Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 Try in the BIOS or a Linux live CD to see if it's a windows fault. Do you have another one you can swop over to try, there's a small chance it could be a motherboard fault.
