Sorry, but none of these drivers give us the alleged functionality to the card which HP have claimed - that it is able to work with .11a wireless!

 

 

It's hard to provide drivers to enable a function which the device itself doesn't have...

 

It's like trying to get drivers to enable torpedoes on a Win95 PC.

So HP whitelist usable wifi cards in the bios and therefore you have to order an HP part however on this particular one it seems like HP has it all wrong.

 

It doesn't work as stated send it back to HP and make them solve your issue.

As previously suggested RMA said device as they sent you the wrong device as the product number and model are the wrong ones and that is not the card you requested as am sure the product number you provided earlier is different to the one on said device and as you stated still does not support .11a wi-fi

 

When you get a replacement card make sure it includes the relevant drivers and that is the correct product so you don't have to go through all this gumph to get it working.

 

Not much of a beer drinker so will pass on that but will say that OP did not get the .11a wireless working on said device so presume that means that no one gets any beer
