Touch Typing Software

We are looking for some Touch typing software suitable for students from year 3-6, that will track the users progress as they use the software so that we can see if they improve over time. We are ideally trying to get most pupils to a certain standard before they leave to secondary school. Any ideas would be appreciated.

We have used BusyFingers | Home in the past and the kids enjoyed it. It was a bit of a waste of time though because at other times, teachers let the kids revert to one finger, poor posture etc. I did find a good free one, I'll try and track it down.

We bought Learn to Type Fast with KAZ Typing Tutor Software for our primary and it worked well for several years.

 

It has been superceded by BBC - Schools - Dance Mat Typing - Home which the children prefer... only because it looks prettier!

We have the 2Simple collection which includes 2Type, we aren't really using it but it should do what you want.

I can't vouch for the products as there was no take up here. Nevertheless they might be worth you having a look.
