Please help it's been a long week, network issues, Ofsted and now reports. All our children's annual reports have been created as Word documents using text boxes. The issue I am having is that one teacher in particular when the document is opened on her home laptop the display is very different to what we see at school. All the settings are exactly the same, I've even installed a school printer as default to see if that changes anything. Same version of office etc. Our head is very specific when it comes to font size, line spacing, spacing for different subjects that's why it was created in text boxes etc. Apart from going down the route of crediting a PDF with area's that can be edited is there something else that I've completely missed. One thought that I've had but cannot try out is saving it as a template would that make any difference?

Quick question, and general idea's, because I think I am really missing something obvious. We've just had a new modular classroom built and the powers that be have decided that the best place to install the new IWB is going to be on an outside wall between windows? The "logic" thinking is this way there will not be a glare onto the boards. Ummm my gut instincts tell me there is more to it than this. Thoughts please!

thanks for your idea's I have already set up a user profile for him which helps to a certain degree when he is using the machines generally around the school but it's more about being able to see the Smartboard. His biggest problem is that his eyes wander and some days they are fine and he does find it difficult to focus. Something handheld is going to be the option so he can hold it at certain angles departing on how his eyes are. Not only have we set up a special profile for him with a cursor that has a tail and a plain background desktop but we also have a mouse that can magnify certain things on the screen.

Thanks for the idea's. We have already consultedour equivalent to the Vision support and we are waiting to hear from them. He is already supported by them so know about this difficulties. Second monitor is not an option unfortunately.

We have a child at school who has severe visual imparments. His main problem is that he has no control over eye movements and find it very difficult to focus on an IWB no matter where he is situated in the classroom. From a schools point of view we are running Windows 7 and have Smartboards. We are thinking along the lines of some kind of tablet that is compatible with our system. Are we going down the right route or missing something complete obvious? Thanks for your help

Hiya Yea they are all going through a powered splitter already.

Has anyone one else had problems with this projector. We have 6 in school and they all seem to have the same problem, a very bad flicker display once it's been on a while. We have already sent two back to NEC for repair but they won't tell us what was wrong with them.

The 2simple range of software is fab! We have most of the software and use it through the school!
