doombadger Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 Good Morning, I've had a request to 'Reset User Profile in Windows Active Directory' as part of a request call this morning. Can any one shed any light on how this is done? I remember doing plenty of these using the console in RM CC3 but on a Vanilla Windows 2008 domain I'm stumped! any ideas? Doug
plexer Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 Resetting the user profile in it's simplest form would involve deleting the server copy or the users profile folder which would then be re-created at next login. Assuming roaming profiles here though. However it depends on how your system is setup as to what information is contained within the profile and how destructive this procedure is going to be for you. Iosoma Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 Do not manually delete a roaming profile if it is for Windows 7 / 2008 R2 as this will cause a profile corruption. There are references in the registry that also need to be deleted. You can delete a profile on the client side in the Advanced System Settings area > User profiles. Hope that helps!
deano Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 Delete server copy and then tun delprof2 for the remote machine
