Dos_Box Posted May 22, 2012 Author Posted May 22, 2012 (edited) FYI We have 22 places left, so book now to avoid disappointment. Please note that when booking for several people in a single order ensure you include their names and not just booking multiple tickets under one name as we need to keep records of who is attending for H&S and registration purposes. Thank 'yew. Edited May 22, 2012 by Dos_Box
GREED Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Which night is the traditional... err... networking... err... jolly up? Night before or night after (Wednesday or Thursday)?
EduTech Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Which night is the traditional... err... networking... err... jolly up? Night before or night after (Wednesday or Thursday)? It will probably be the Thursday Evening that we go and do some physical social networking ;-) but we normally have a meal and a drink on wednesday also.

GrumbleDook Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Some prefer to do the socialising on the Wednesday night as drinking heavily on the Thursday night is difficult for those who are driving home on Friday.
GREED Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 I'm staying both nights but am taking the opportunity of being so far North to meet up with a colleague, just deciding on which night!
SimpleSi Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 There's 4 main categories A. People come up 1st night, stop in Hotel and party till wee hours (This includes most of the Edugeek main team so things are very hard for them the next day ) B. People who arrive early on Thurs go straight to conf, stop in hotel that night and party till wee hours C. People who do A and then give up on Thursday evening D. Proffessionals (e.g Ric) who do both Si

SimpleSi Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Your not category D if your found with your head in a pint glass at 9pm! Si
Ric_ Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Hopefully it won't put too many people off but I can confirm that I will be there... Additional drinking opportunities will be available other nights that week for those in the Preston/Fylde area if you so desire (option E was missed off the list!).
Gaz Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 Am I being blind? What time does the event start and finish?
Dos_Box Posted May 25, 2012 Author Posted May 25, 2012 The event will begin at about 9am and finish at 16:45(ish) depending on how much grief you want to give Shaun, Ric and myself in the 'Ask the Admins' session at the end BTW, there are now only 15 tickets left.

Dos_Box Posted May 28, 2012 Author Posted May 28, 2012 (edited) 8 Places left now, and remember, it is free! It's first come, first served and anyone applying after the tickets have all gone will be added to a wait list. If you have booked and find you can't come please notify us ASAP as we have to pay for every attendee. Dos_Box Edited May 28, 2012 by Dos_Box
ComputingData Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 I've signed up for the edugeek conference, even put something on Facebook to tell the world about it. ;p Problem is that I do supply software to schools, but the form made me say I didn't - I couldn't find any other way of saying I want to attend without ticking the box to say this. Will there be a problem, should I contact someone or is all ok?
plexer Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 @ComputingData you didn't read the bit that says Please note: If you are employed by a educational supplier/company rather then school please contact us to arrange tickets as members have priority. Then??? Ben
ComputingData Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Nope, sorry, I must have missed that. Should I give up my ticket? If so, how?
plexer Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Please contact an admin i.e @Dos_Box or @ZeroHour or use the contact details provided on the conference booking page. Ben
ComputingData Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 BTW, I just tried the contact us link and after you write a message and submit this error occurs: "Invalid Redirect URL (http://egeditpreston.eventbrite.com/?ebtv=C)"
