GP-Untis versus aSc Timetabling - Feedback please?

Hi, looking to get feedback from users on the following two timetabling products:

 

gp-untis (Untis Timetable Software - School Scheduling Software- Timetabling for Universities)

 

aSc Timetables (aSc TimeTables - School Scheduling. Best timetable software to create school timetable.)

 

I read some feedback that although aSc has a user friendly interface, gp-untis was more suited for large schools with 1,000+ students. Also electives management is a key area I'd like feedback on. Anybody currently using these products, and if not can you recommend alternatives.

I haven't used either but can recommend an alternative.

Thanks penfold_99. Is this the timetabling solution bundled in with Progresso, or does it have it's own timetabling module based on Scheduler?

TimeTabler is a stand-alone timetabling program, which exports the completed timetable to Progresso [as well as to SIMS .net, RM Integris, Phoenix e1, etc, etc].

Thanks, so what does Progresso come bundled with? Does it have a Timetabling module?

Progresso will accept a completed timetable from the old Facility Scheduler [which I think is bundled with Progresso] Edited May 21, 2012 by vikpaw

We use GP Untis at our school. Works well with 1000 students and 63 rooms.

In Progresso you can choose which timetabling package you want to import from.

Go to System -> Timetable -> Other settings -> Default scheduler, and select from the drop-down list.

 

There are 2 choices : Serco Scheduler and KJ TimeTabler.
