Hey guys.

At my school we use Chrome, this is because we have a few extensions students use in our IT department. However they are able to download other extensions which we don't want them to have. We could reimage and block the appstore, but is there anyway we can lock the current app list so nothing else can be installed?

Also is there a way to install apps other then through the app store?

Cheers!

We enforced a Google Chrome Extensions Blacklist and Whitelist:

Link: Use Chrome policy templates - Google Apps Help

We extracted the ADM and added it to Group Policy on our domain controller. We then edited the policy to allow extensions we wanted [all other extensions were then not allowed because they were not in the whitelist.

It worked very well [even preventing DOMAIN\administrator from adding extensions. :)]
