petay87 Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Wasn't sure where to post this, so apologies if this is not the correct area to do so. I have an Epson r1800 that the print head in it has dies. I was wondering if anyone knows anywhere to buy a new one or a second hand one? It is an Epson DX5 print head if that helps at all. Thanks in advance for anyone that can help me!
difinity Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 I'm sure i contacted Epson when i needed a print head for my A3 printer and they pointed me in the direction of a UK supplier. It wasn't cheap (about £80 IIRC) but then printer cost about £400. Have you tried soaking yours in Isopropanol Alcohol ? Might be worth a try as it's much cheaper than a new print head.
petay87 Posted April 17, 2012 Author Posted April 17, 2012 I have already cleaned the print head in the past with success by taking it out of the printer and soaking it in warm water. So I know it is not just clogged, I need a new one
