    Black Mesa

I appear to now be stuck :-( I have just entered the office blocks but when ever I use my flash light, the game crashes and I have to re-load it.

    Black Mesa

Wow that sounds fun! Any idea what it might have been called or where you got it?
  3. I purchased this game yesterday with the intention of killing 5 - 10 mins but have found that my game timer has already clocked up 3 hours of play time. This game is VERY addictive.

Blue Shift wasn't amazing but I hope they re-do opposing force, that was great!

LOL! What did they do in the original source conversion!?

Oh yes.....that! It didn't even look good!

    Black Mesa

oh well, at least the differences shows you the game is re-written from the ground up rather than just "tweeking" it to look good!

The shotgun used to be acquired in a caged storage room was it not?

Am I remembering the game wrong or do you get the crowbar later in Black Mesa?
  10. I picked up a Bluetooth keyboard with built in touchpad for £10 a while back and that does the trick for me.
  11. Have you had a look at XBMC as media centre software? I used it in the past and it worked really well.
  12. Hello 4 weeks of work!!! (well almost, only 1 day short)
  13. I have set up my own local computer support company in my own time (evenings and weekends) but I also offer custom built PCs to customers and have recently been approached by a few people asking for prices. I was just wondering where people use to buy their hardware from as I don't want to be missing out on some cheaper parts and therefore not offering the customer the cheapest price I can. I tend to use http://www.microdirect.com quite a lot as they have a good selection but they don't seem to be as cheap as they used to be.
  14. I find Laptop Screens | Laptop Screen | Replacement Laptop Screens | Screen for Laptop to be a little (not much) more expensive but that may not be the case for every model they have.
  15. Used them several times and never had any issues with them!
  16. I'm sure I remember sorting something very similar to this out in the past. I remember there being some hidden jumpers on the motherboard but they don't look like your standard jumpers. They are just bare metal contacts that you have to short out with a cable or screwdriver.
  17. That makes sense seen as though work you have done is a far better attribute than work you might be able to do because your qualifications say so. However, this said, I wouldn't have a clue where to start selling my own software and would that not involve a lot of research in to the legality of the software or rather eliminating any comeback on yourself?
  18. Wow that looks really good so far, thanks for the heads up, I'll take a look at it and probably try one of the course to see if its something worth pursuing as a career.
  19. Good question, I suppose I should see what qualifications certain jobs are looking for first then make my decision based on that. So in effect decide what I want to become first then find out how to get there. I think this is true for most areas of work as learning to adapt to your environment is better than partially learning every environment and not being truely comfortable is any.
  20. Thanks Steve, I have looked at a lot of online tutorials and such in the past and would like to think that I have the basics of C++ down but it is something that I would eventually like to make a career out of and so would having a qualification in the subject not help with employability at the end of it all?
  21. I have recently been thinking more and more about going down the line of computer programming/software development. I lightly covered the subject in my college days and it was one of my subjects in my first year of university. However, I never pursued the subject as an area to learn or work in but it was something that I particularly enjoyed when I did touch on it. I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations regarding places to study and what subject to cover as a lot of establishments name their course differently even though the bulk of the material appears to be the same. The course would have to be part-time or distance learning as I can not give up my current line of work to pursue this and if I had to travel to a campus from time to time it would have to be local (North east - Newcastle, Durham). I am also rather restricted when it comes to funding the course so the cheaper the better but that being said, I am a firm believer in 'you get what you pay for'. I know this is a lot to ask but I am not really expecting exact answer to what I should study and where, more just some friendly tips and pointers.
  22. It's more worrying when you read the back of something like a "cheese string" or "peperami" and see "warning: may contain nuts" even though not one of the ingredients is nuts nor would you ever expect to find nuts in the product.
  23. Waiting for confirmation email and you will have 1 extra member
  24. What sort of businesses are you wanting to sign up to your site? Are you looking for local businesses or regional? Online, shop based or home call out?
