plexer Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Wifi enabled light bulb that is cool having total control over your lighting but not by expensive retrofits to the wiring etc... just change the bulb for a smart one. I think I'll wait for it to go mainstream and come down in price though. Ben

It could be argued that each impact weakens the glass, therefore he should have used fresh glass for each.

I am just in two minds about it. The kickstarter for its been blown out of the sky from a space orbital platform!

Well, it was called Syndicate and set in a familiar universe, but the game traded the third-person isometric view of the original for a first-person perspective. According to reviews, the Syndicate revival also suffered from fairly generic gameplay. A true sequel it was not. Fortunately, a spiritual successor is in the works at 5 Lives Studios, an indie outfit that counts Syndicate Wars alum Mike Diskett among its ranks. The game is called Satellite Reign, and a Kickstarter campaign has been launched to fuel its development. Satellite Reign is billed as a class-based RTS set in a "completely unscripted world." Players will apparently have quite a bit of flexibility in how they approach various challenges, and the visuals look promising. This at least feels like a proper Syndicate title. The game is being built using the Unity engine and is slated to be released for Windows, OS X, and Linux. 5 Lives is looking to raise $550,000 to fund the project. If the studio exceeds that goal and amasses $600,000 in the next 30 days, Syndicate composer and sound designer Russell Shaw will be brought onboard. Pledging as little as $20 to the project entitles you to a free copy of the game right now. If all goes well, the finished product is expected to be released by December 2014. (Source)
