lafleur1977 Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Hello, We have recently upgraded to Office 2010 site wide from a mix of 2003 and 2007. Since upgrading we have had a number of users unable to print certain parts of their documents. E.g. - Publisher 2010/pubx format/mixture of text and images - would not print pictures. - Word 2010/docx format - would not print text in text boxes. To fix this I have had to convert them to a 2003 format (doc/pub). These documents have been sent to various different printers. Any one else had these kind of problems? Thanks
gl3nnym Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 We had this exact problem after upgrading to Office 2010. Turn out it's a problem with the Brother printer drivers we have (mostly HL-6050DN). To solve this, Brother Support advised us to use the driver for a HP Laserjet 6N. Oddly enough it solved our problem. 1
lafleur1977 Posted March 23, 2012 Author Posted March 23, 2012 Thanks for your reply. I was thinking it may be drivers but due to it happening on different printers I was unsure. We use mostly HP printers here. Will have a look at updating the drivers.
gl3nnym Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Yeah maybe updating the drivers will help. Also in the printer settings, look for something similar to "TrueType Mode". Set it to "Download as TrueType" and NOT "Print as Graphics". This helped us out too.
