Wibbles Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 Firstly, I'd like to say hello to everyone. I'm new here and will hopefully be posting a lot more in the future. I'm network manager at a secondary school with around 600 pupils. I've just been told I've got to write a 3 year ICT Development plan and they want it yesterday! I've never done one before and I've not long to write it and am starting with a blank canvass. Any tips on what to include and how to go about this would be appreciated. I'm starting with an audit of our current system and listing details of each room and giving a schematic diagram. Has anyone got any good tips or links to things that I could maybe include for the future developments? I'm wanting to include a few things that will make them think "wow". Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers. Wibbles
Wibbles Posted May 23, 2007 Author Posted May 23, 2007 Thanks for that, I'll have a look. May come in handy.
djm968 Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 No worries. It is always worth throwing in the "headline grabbersâ€, like computer to pupil ratio, personalised learning platform, FITS, helpdesk and the current hot topic of WLAN and constructing the long term plan around these.
