Sanyo XW250 woes

I am having a similar problem to issues mentioned by other posters with the XW200 projector.

 

It powers on with light coming out for a couple of seconds then dies with the warning light lit red.

 

The lamp is not the issue, as I have swapped lamps with another example of the same model.

 

The lamp works fine.

 

I've stripped the projector to try to find any thermal reset and I've also emailed Sanyo support - no response except to say that there is no response in the short term due to the nature of my enquiry.. etc etc..

 

Please advise with any help or suggestions.
