Printer recommendation

I am looking for some views on printers.

 

Location: Admin Office

Requirements:

1) Quiet

2) Colour

3) Speed

 

quiet is the most important factor here, the printer sits in between the 2 secretaries and if it is doing a long print run, can be very noisy especially when they are on the phones.

 

I did suggest that maybe the printer could be moved, but that was poo - poo'ed because that would require movement off the chair.

 

Can anybody recommend either a quiet printer, or maybe even recommend a printer stockist who would be willing to advise us.

Lasers all come in at pretty much the same decibel rating, simply because they all use similar types of motors/mechanisms to do the same job.

A good business inkjet would tend to be quieter, but I'm not sure if that's what you are after.

 

I'd definitely avoid Xerox solid-ink on this as they tend to be louder.
