Game controllers, Kodu and Windows

I've been asked to check out and see if there is anything specific we'd need to do in order to allow game controllers to be used during the game development part of our IT course.

 

If we went out and bought half a dozen Xbox 360 for Windows USB controllers, would we just be able to have the kids plug these in as non-admins and have them work? Or would we need to do any prep work to get them to work for the kids?

Ours just work, Drivers appear to be there already in 7.

We're currently running XP.

I imagine if you just plugged them in first as an admin, the drivers would then be on the system anyway. Not done it on the network but I remember it being straightforward to do on my home XP machine back in the day.

 

Or they can use WASD and mouse like proper gamers, it's not that hard to recode the examples!
