Hiya

I have almost given up with thinstation due to the session error, and am now trying to build a debian distro with an rdp client to use as a thinclient

What do other people use as their thinclients

Thanks

Have you looked at Windows Thin PC? Free under Software Assurance

When I played I had it boot with no Explorer session which launched RDP rather then Explorer. I had a script run every min to see if rdp was running if not then start it.

I installed the Windows thin PC.

Err not right sure how to get usage ouf of this.

Seems there is no RDP or anything to use for a remote session.

This thinclient sees to be thin on instructions also.

Google's not much help

Windows Thin PC is a cut down version of Windows 7. So it will behave in most ways exactly the same as Win 7 just with a smaller footprint.

RDP should be installed (if not you can download i think) type MSTSC from the command line and it should lauch RDP

Debian here, too - a basic text-only install and then the lightweight XFCE window manager on top of that. I have also used Slax and SystemRescueCD as PXE-bootable systems.

Cheers

Am trying to get systemrescuecd to boot from pxe, I managed with gparted which needed a filesystem to reside on a webserver.

I have not yet managed with systemrescuecd but am looking into this.

And slax i will try too.

Any pointers on systemrescuecd setup for pxe?

Thanks
